အမျိုးသမီး ၈၅ဦးကျော်ကို စကစ သတ်ဖြတ်ခဲ့မှု အရေးယူရန်ဆောင်ရွက်မည်ဟု UK ပြောပြီ

စစ်တပ်အာဏာသိမ်းချိန်မှစ၍ အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ရသည့် အမျိုးသမီးများနှင့် မိန်းကလေးငယ်များအားလုံးကို အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ အမျိုးသမီးများအပေါ် အကြမ်းဖက်မှုပပျောက်ရေးနေ့တွင် ဗြိတိသျှသံရုံးရန်ကုန်က ဂုဏ်ပြုပါသည်။

၄င်းတို့အနက် ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာဆန္ဒပြရင်း ပထမဦးစွာ အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ရသည့် မမြသွဲ့သွဲ့ခိုင်လည်းအပါအဝင်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ထိုအချိန်မှစ၍ အနည်းဆုံး အမျိုးသမီးနှင့် မိန်းကလေးငယ် ၈၅ယောက်တို့သည် လုံခြုံရေး တပ်ဖွဲ့ များ၏ သတ်ဖြတ်ခြင်းခံခဲ့ရပါသည်။

လုံခြုံရေးတပ်ဖွဲ့များက အမျိုးသမီးများအပေါ် ညှဉ်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်မှု၊ အဓမ္မပြုကျင့်မှုနှင့် လိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ စော်ကားမှုများနှင့်ပတ်သက်သည့် အစီရင်ခံစာ အများအပြား ရှိခဲ့ပါသည်။

အဆိုပါကိစ္စရပ်များတွင်ကျူးလွန်သူများကို အရေးယူသွားနိုင်ရန် ယူကေအစိုးရက ၎င်းတို့၏နိုင်ငံတကာမိတ်ဖက်များနှင့် ဆက်လက်ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ထို့အပြင် ယူကေအစိုးရသည် ပဋိပက္ခဖြစ်ပွားရာဒေသများတွင် မုဒိမ်းမှုနှင့် လိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုများကျူးလွန်ခြင်းကို ဓာတုလက်နက်များအသုံးပြုသကဲ့သို့ တားမြစ်လုပ်ရပ် ‘မျဉ်းနီ’ အဖြစ်

သတ်မှတ်ရှုတ်ချပြီး ထိုကဲ့သို့ ရက်စက်ကြမ်းကြုတ်သော လုပ်ရပ်များကို အပြီးအပြတ် အဆုံးသတ်ရန် ကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာ လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်တွင် ဦးဆောင်ဦးရွက်ပြုလျက်ရှိသည်။

ကျား၊မအခြေပြု အကြမ်းဖက်မှုဆန့်ကျင်ရေး ၁၆ ရက်တာ လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွင် အမျိုးသမီးများအပေါ် အကြမ်းဖက်မှု အဆုံးသတ်ရေး ကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာ လှုပ်ရှားမှုကို ထောက်ခံသည့် အနေဖြင့် အချက် ၁၆ ချက်ကို ယူကေသံရုံးက ဖော်ပြသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ပဋိပက္ခဖြစ်ပွားမှုများသည် အမျိုးသမီးများနှင့် မိန်းကလေးငယ်များအပေါ် ကျား-မ အခြေပြု အကြမ်းဖက်မှုများဖြစ်သည့် မတရားသတ်ဖြတ်ခြင်း၊ ညှဉ်းပန်းနှိပ်စက်ခြင်းနှင့် လိင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုများကို ပိုမို ဖြစ်ပေါ်စေပါသည်။

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the British Embassy honours the women and girls who have lost their lives in Myanmar since the military coup. This includes Ma Mya Thwet Thwet Khine, the first casualty of the coup, who was killed while exercising her right to peaceful protest.

Since then, at least 85 women and girls have been killed by the Myanmar security forces. There have been multiple reports of torture, rape and sexual abuse.

The UK will continue working with its international partners to ensure that those responsible can be held to account.

The UK condemns rape and sexual violence in conflict as a ‘red line’ akin to chemical weapons, and is leading global action to end such heinous acts once and for all.

Over the next 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the British Embassy will be highlighting 16 facts in support of the global initiative to “end violence against women now!”

Fact #1: Conflict leads to more gender-based violence against women and girls, including arbitrary killings, torture and sexual violence.
